A Big National Literacy Month Celebration in Guinobatan

Reading and writing are some of an individual's most powerful skills. Literacy is the key to a better future for many children.

To celebrate National Literacy Month, Book Nook Guinobatan and the team of the Office of the Municipal Vice Mayor Ann Gemma Onjoco partnered with us for their big initiative, “5K BIGAY: A Book-Giving Activity for the Youth”, to the schools in Guinobatan East and West Districts.

5,000 CANVAS books were given to learners across the municipality. Schools held different festivities for their bookgiving events. The students participated in the programs and games prepared for them. They were all smiles as they received their books. Some happily posed with the books; some were spotted reading the moment they received their copies.

We thank the Book Nook team and Municipal Vice Mayor Onjoco for bringing our books to so many kids. We celebrate your hard work and efforts for September!
