The collaboration between Taysan National High School teachers and Bahite Artist Collective reached new heights when they joined forces with San Jose's Reading and Writing Coordinator. The arrival of donated books sparked excitement among the teachers at the city's main school, Padre Imo Luna Memorial Elementary School (PILMES).
The books were met with the excitement of PILMES’ grade school teachers. They were very eager to give these books accompanied by the students’ modules for the first part of the school year. From PILMES, the books were distributed to other primary schools in San Jose, where they were awaited by their new owners.
It is our pleasure to collaborate with San Jose schools and artist groups like the Bahite Artist Collective. Together, we brought 1,604 books to 18 primary schools!
