The Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development (CANVAS) is looking for individuals to fill the following full-time positions. Deadline for applications is on January 27, 2023.

Marketing Associate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrably excellent writing and communications skills in both English and Filipino. Practical experience is also a plus. Duties and tasks to be performed include:

  • Working with the Team to develop and plan marketing, public outreach, and social media strategies

  • Developing written content for various communications materials

  • Managing logistics and information for programs and campaigns

  • Facilitating engagement with CANVAS partners, communities, and audiences.

Inventory and Gallery Coordinator

Duties and tasks to be performed include:

  • Inventory management of artworks, books and CANVAS and other related products and merchandise

  • Assistance in fundraising and corporate partnerships

  • Day-to-day oversight of office operations, including leadership over gallery operations and small exhibition set-ups

  • Writing and editing emails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the CANVAS' behalf

  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of various CANVAS-related events, transactions and documents

Executive Assistant

This position requires working directly with the Executive Director.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a sense of urgency. He/she/they will be personable, cheerful and confident; and able to multitask, organize, and handle a broad range of communications and administrative duties such as writing and editing emails, drafting letters, and preparing communications on the Executive Director's behalf.

He/she/they must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time-management skills, and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects. Applicants are expected to be unafraid of challenges and able to maintain confidentiality of information related to CANVAS, its projects, and its staff.

Key tasks, duties and skills will include, among others, providing key support to CANVAS, and to the Executive Director to:

  • Help maintain comprehensive and accurate records

  • Perform minor accounting duties

  • Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary

  • Help to manage the Executive Director’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.

  • Perform such other tasks as may be assigned.

This is a full-time, highly confidential position, often requiring face-to-face interaction, but also with flexibility for remote work at the Executive Director's discretion. Compensation will be very competitive, and based on experience.
