A Generous Celebration of International Children’s Book Day
April 1, 2023 – Bacoor, Cavite; Las Piñas, Metro Manila
To celebrate the wonder of stories for children, C4 Kaagapay sa Pangarap donated seventy books to communities in Bacoor and Las Piñas for International Children’s Book Day.
Volunteers were prepped and ready for bookgiving and storytelling early morning last April 1. Kids were settled into small groups so they could enjoy the books and activities on a more personal level. The younger groups enjoyed the colorful illustrations and activities from Karapat Dapat, our book on human rights. Meanwhile, the older kids discussed facts and fake news through #YOUTHink, our book on fighting misinformation. After a fun-filled day, they happily showed their moms their new books as they went home.
C4 Kaagapay sa Pangarap is an organization dedicated to promoting education and literacy among underprivileged children in Bacoor Cavite and Las Piñas City. We are thankful for their generous efforts, through which children get to take home books that are paired with cheerful memories.
