Lend a Hand Brings Books to Tarlac Schools

It was a cheerful Monday for two schools in Tarlac: Malupa Elementary School in Concepcion and Mainang Resettlement Elementary School in Bambang! Youth organization Lend a Hand brought CANVAS books into the classrooms of their new owners. Students from Kinder to Grade 6 were surprised to find out that they could bring the colorful books home! Copies of Karapat Dapat and #YOUTHink: Labanan ang Fake News were theirs to keep, while CANVAS’ hardbound story books were for everyone to share at their book stand.
Despite the challenges posed by the hot weather and steep roads, the Lend a Hand team and volunteers were determined to make this bookgiving activity happen. Thank you for giving the kids in Tarlac books that they can cherish and grow with!
