Looking For Juan and Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. Gave Away Books on Children’s Day

November 20, 2024 - Quezon City

Special edition copies of Karapat Dapat, were given to 300 kids at May Boses Ako! World Children’s Day 2024 at Gateway 2 Mall. Looking for Juan and Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) partnered together to reprint our book on children’s rights, written by May Tobias-Papa and illustrated by Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan, with a fresh pink cover.

This partnership with BPCI resulted in 1000 copies of the book to be given to kids. 300 of these were distributed to the beneficiaries in attendance—children from BPCI’s partner nonprofit organizations.

The pink Karapat Dapat comes with a design-your-own-crown activity. The kids at the event happily decorated their crown after receiving their copy. They also listened to an engaging series of storytelling sessions.

This celebration is brought to you by the J. Amado Araneta Foundation and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. Larissa Chavez, Head and Co-founder of Looking For Juan shares the value of partnerships like these and their impact:

"The partnership between Looking for Juan and Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. Foundation plays an important role in promoting children’s rights. This collaboration highlights Looking for Juan’s continued commitment to work with like-minded companies and organizations, such as Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. Foundation and J. Amado Araneta Foundation to support CANVAS’ advocacy and scale its mission. By pooling resources and creating a collective impact that exceeds what individual organizations can achieve alone, these partnerships enable the production and distribution of more books while expanding the reach of their advocacy for children’s rights and education."
